Inspecting the Guard of Honour just before departing for Lagos, Nigeria.

Today I will be travelling to Lagos, Nigeria to deliver a lecture on Genuine Democracy: Leadership and the Challenge of Delivering Appropriate Dividends of Democracy to the Citizens at the 14th Session of the Emmanuel Onyechere Anyiam-Osigwe Lecture series tomorrow.

I feel honoured to be joining the lists of world leaders who were previously invited to address this prestigious Democracy forum the likes of F.W. DeKlerk, Shimon Perez, Vaclav Klaus, Helmut Kohl, Al Gore, Mahathir bin Mohamad, Fernando Cardoso, The Dalai Lama, John Major, Cherie Blair, Tipper Gore Aleksander Kwasniewski, Chandrika Kumaratunga etc.

The trip is fully funded by the organisers:- APB Speakers International and this is another indicator that our government's efforts to promote peace and democracy in this country are being appraised highly by our people at grass root level and hence the acknowledgement by our international partners to warrant this invitation.

Thank you all for your support and prayers.

May God bless you.
