President Uhuru Kenyatta has told Cabinet to drive the realisation of Vision 2030 and make Kenya competitive globally.
President Kenyatta said the newly appointed Cabinet Secretaries should get down to work and serve Kenyans diligently.
"Kenyans are no longer willing to wait and listen to excuses. We must perform. Kenyans want a positive transformation," he said moments after witnessing the swearing in of 15 Cabinet Secretaries at State House, Nairobi Wednesday.
"You should be transparent and impartial in dispensing your duties and management of the national resources," he told the secretaries.
The nominee for Foreign Affairs Amina Mohammed is out of the country and will be sworn in at a later date.
The President thanked the National Assembly for "expeditiously processing the vetting of the Cabinet secretary nominees".
On Tuesday, the National Assembly cleared President Kenyatta’s 16-member Cabinet for appointment during an acrimonious session.Source: Daily Nation
